Tuesday morning is market day in Valence d´Agen and this since the creation of the bastide in 1283. In a colorful atmosphere, appetizing smells mingle with the ambient good mood.

All the local produce is on show: sun-drenched fruit and vegetables from the Garonne valley, free-range chickens, local charcuterie and, of course, the stars of South-West good living: duck confit and foie gras!

Every Saturday morning, a farmers’ market is held in the Place Nationale market hall.
