Discover Auvillar, one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France”, and immerse yourself in its picturesque charm. Easily identified by its striking circular grain market in the heart of the village, Auvillar offers a warm and special atmosphere thanks to its traditional red brick and white stone dwellings.
Be sure to visit the museum of earthenware and boating, presenting the local history, and the arts and crafts galleries, showcasing local talents. Many restaurants invite you to savour the region’s gastronomy, and don’t forget the lovely Wednesday evening organic market (once a month) and the weekly Sunday morning market, where you can enjoy our local delicacies.
Access to the village is free, even during the summer. Several car parks are at your disposal: at the port along the Garonne, near the pharmacy, near the village hall, Promenade des Moines, etc.

Exhibition: “Glass in all its brilliance”
From April 7th to September 30th 2026, the Deux Rives Tourist Office will present an exceptional exhibition, “Glass in All Its Brilliance.” This exhibition will host seven art craftsmen and glass artists, who will showcase their colorful worlds through unusual works created using different techniques.
A rich palette that will allow you to discover glassblowing, stained glass, the technique known as fusing (pieces of glass cold‑bonded together), as well as lampworking.
This theme echoes the stained‑glass windows of the chapel adjoining the Auvillar Tourist Office, which also serves as the display space for the works featured in this exhibition.
Panels will retrace the history of the various glassmaking professions, as well as that of the glass‑slab (or glass mosaic) stained‑glass windows of the chapel. The exhibition will take place in the former Ursuline chapel. Admission is free, open daily from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
